Short version: post what you like within the rules below, treat people decently in private as well as in public, and we will not sell you or your data to anyone.
Using WoseApp
- You must be 13 or older.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate somebody else.
- You are responsible for what you post and send.
- Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has it.
What is not allowed
- Harassment, bullying, or repeatedly contacting somebody who does not want to hear from you.
- Threats of violence, or encouraging harm.
- Hate speech targeting people for who they are.
- Unwanted sexual content, and any sexual content involving minors — which is reported to the authorities, not merely removed.
- Spam, scams, and automated posting from accounts pretending to be people.
- Posting somebody else's private information.
- Attacking the service: probing for holes, scraping at volume, or trying to reach other people's private conversations.
The private side counts. Replies here are not public, but they are not a licence either. The same rules apply to a private message as to a post, and you can report a conversation without a moderator being able to read it uninvited.
What we may do about it
Moderators can remove a post, pause an account's posting, or suspend an account. Where an account is suspended you are told, and given the reason. Every moderator action is recorded in an internal log.
Moderators can also edit a post. Where they do, the post says publicly that a moderator edited it and the version they replaced is kept.
Your content
What you write stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your posts and show them to the people you meant to see them. We claim no other rights, and we do not licence your words to anyone else.
Leaving
Delete your account whenever you like, from Settings. Take a copy of everything first if you want one. Messages you already sent stay in the other person's inbox — they are that person's record of a conversation as much as yours.
What we do not promise
WoseApp is a small service run on one server. It may be unavailable sometimes, and features may change. It is provided as it is, without warranty. We keep nightly backups, but keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose.
